What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies — such as local storage, session storage and device identifiers in mobile apps — serve analogous purposes. Together, these allow services to remember your preferences, keep you logged in and understand how their products are being used.

What Land Àjọ Uses

On our website (landajo.ng) we use cookies and local storage. In our mobile app we use local storage and mobile analytics SDKs (not browser cookies). We do not use third-party advertising cookies or sell data to ad networks.

Types & Purposes

Strictly necessary

These are essential for the service to function. They cannot be switched off without breaking core features such as login sessions and plan tracking. No consent is required for these under NDPR.

  • lajo_session — keeps you logged in during a browser session
  • lajo_csrf — protects against cross-site request forgery attacks
  • lajo_prefs — stores your interface preferences (language, notification settings)

Analytics & performance

Used to understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the product. All data is anonymised before analysis. We use these only with your consent.

  • Page view counts and navigation flows
  • Feature usage rates and error frequencies
  • Session duration and device/browser type (aggregated)

Functional

Remember your choices to improve your experience (e.g. recently viewed plots). Used with your consent.

We do not use advertising, retargeting or social-media tracking cookies. We do not share cookie data with data brokers.

App SDKs & Analytics

The Land Àjọ mobile application uses lightweight analytics SDKs to collect anonymised crash reports and usage statistics. These are used solely for product improvement. The SDKs we use comply with Apple App Store and Google Play Data Safety requirements, and are declared in the app's privacy labels / data safety section in the respective stores.

We do not use SDKs for cross-app advertising or fingerprinting.

Your Controls

Website cookies

When you first visit landajo.ng you will see a cookie consent banner. You can accept all cookies, accept only strictly necessary cookies, or manage your preferences at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

Browser settings

All major browsers allow you to manage, block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will affect your ability to log in. Useful links:

Mobile app

You can opt out of analytics in the app under Settings → Privacy → Analytics. On iOS, you can also use Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt to limit cross-app tracking. On Android, you can reset your advertising ID in Google Settings.

Changes to This Notice

We may update this Cookie Notice as our practices or applicable law changes. We will indicate the date of the most recent update at the top of this page and, where changes are material, notify you via the app or website.
